When it comes to picking out a bathroom faucet it use to mean picking from the meager and quite limited selection at your local hardware store, or trying to navigate one of the bathroom showrooms just to find out that the one that you like costs more than the rent did on your first apartment and has a 8 week lead time. Fortunately things have changed and these here interwebs are filled with a bounty of wonderful options that are a lot more budget and lead-time friendly.

Now don’t get me wrong there is definitely a time and a place for high end faucets, and in the end you pay for what you get, but we really wanted to do some digging to find some stylish options that are both budget friendly, quick to ship and could work in your space in case you aren’t quite ready or able to spend on a higher end faucet. So without further ado we present to you some of our favorite budget friendly faucets in brass, black and silver. There are so many more options beyond this at all of the different sources we pulled from (so browse away), but we tried to narrow it down to a few of our favorites to help you guys out during your next bathroom remodel.

If you have a widespread faucet then #1 is a great traditional option that is simple and stylish. #15 would be a great addition to any bathroom with a traditional vibe and a mini-spread setup, and at under $90 you can’t really go wrong. And #18 looks VERY similar to the designer faucet that Brady has in his bathroom, but at a much more affordable price point. Up next is black. Keep in mind that some of these are a straight black where as some have a more oil rubbed bronze finish that can appear a dark brown, so if you have questions on finish be sure to reach out to the manufacturer before purchasing.

#1, #3, and #4 are all awesome options, and #17 at $34 just doesn’t seem possible but it is. I also love #8, it would look so pretty in a kids bathroom with a large farmhouse style sink, and if you are looking for something more modern then #24 at just $50 is very good.

Luxury in Laos at Amantaka's Stunning Luang Prabang Estate

Photos Credit: Aman Resorts It wouldn’t be an Aman property without spectacular grounds, an unbelievably spiritual essence , or a UNESCO World Heritage address . Amantaka, located smack dab in the center of Laos’ UNESCO- protected Luang Prabang , has all three attributes. This resort is a true jewel of Aman’s expanding collection. I traveled to Myanmar and Laos recently and purposely made a stop in Luang Prabang just to experience this Aman. I’m only disappointed that I didn’t visit sooner.  Amantaka, so named after  tipitaka , meaning “the teaching of the Buddha,” has a trace of elegant transcendence. The 24-suite resort is indeed steps away from sacred Mount Phousi , Phra Bang, and the daily trek of monks who walk at dawn in silence to collect alms. I grew up on the Mississippi River , in Rock Island, Ill. I knew of the river's moods and might but always took it for granted. And yet I'd long wondered what it would be like to travel the Mississippi from source to sea — in a canoe. So, after a decade of imagining and a year of serious preparation, I and three other retired graybeards from suburban Chicago — Tim Clark, Tom Lobacz and Bill Baar — headed north in late May to put in at the Mississippi's headwaters at Lake Itasca, Minn. The river begins as a baby stream gurgling past 25 feet of stones that permit you to "walk across the Mississippi" which, of course, we do. A webcam allows people to watch the "walkers" from afar.
