Review! Perlier Shower and Body Cream Travel Kit

Recently I had the opportunity to try Perlier, a luxury body care line sold at HSN. I was thrilled because I’ve been curious about this line for a long time and had almost ordered but never quite pulled the trigger. I’m always a little leary of ordering bath and body products without being able to feel or smell them. Now I’m kicking myself for not trying Perlier earlier!  These are luxury products that pamper your skin and smell heavenly!

Since I’m a sucker for citrus, the first scent I tried was Shea butter with Citrus Extract Cream Shower and Body Balm. This set is lightly fragranced with notes of lemons, limes and orange. It smells natural and not sugary or synthetic. Lovely scent aside, this set is packed with moisturzing shea butter that literally lasts ALL DAY! I showered and applied the body cream at 6AM and my skin still felt soft and hydrated at 10PM! That’s the difference between a high-end product and a drugstore one beauties.

Next I tried the White Almond Shower and Body Cream. Almond is a favorite scent of mine and this one is made even more mouthwatering with the addition of marzipan!  One of the best shopping times I’ve ever experienced was in Austria. Visiting a candy shop where there were all shapes, sizes and creatures made of Marzipan. I saw fruits and vegetables,  sweet little white mice,  flowers a princess and lions and tigers and bears oh my!  It was incredible, delectable and everything looked REAL! My daughter and I had to stop at every candy shop to see what their special Marizpan creation would be.

Not only are almonds good to eat, but  these are made from the purest form of oil from cold pressed Italian almonds that are rich in Vitamin E protein and essential fatty acids to help protect, nourish and infuse new elasticity into dry skin. This is just what we over 40 gals need for our vulnerable skin that lacks moisture, tone and elasticity.  The shower cream lathers beautifully and the rich body cream feels soothing to delicate skin. This truly feels like a dedicant treat.

The Olivarium Bath & Shower Creamis perhaps my favorite. I’m not usually fond of olive scents but this smells so soft and fresh and clean! Made with 100% organic Italian olive oil and tomato lycopene, this active complex delivers a deep nourishing effect with strong antioxidant protection. You can feel the oil imparting hydration but there is no greasy oil feeling–amazing! I can honestly say that this is the most moisturizing shower cream I’ve ever used and I come out of the shower with my skin feeling deeply hydrated, soft and supple. The kind of soft where you want to keep touching your arms or rubbing your legs together, know what I mean? The scent is so fresh and clean I can see this as a unisex scent. Good thing I don’t have to share with anyone!!

Honey Miel Shower Cream and Nurturing Body Balm provides vitamins, minerals and proteins for the skin with 100% certified Italian organic honey. This scent is stronger than the others and to my nose it is slightly bitter. I can see this as another good unisex scent though.

Bottom Line:Perlier is truly a luxury brand and your skin will be able to tell the difference in just one shower. This travel kit is a wonderful introduction to the Perlier brand as well as travel and gift friendly. I’m definitely going to repurchase the Olive Oil and White Almond products when I run out.

Luxury in Laos at Amantaka's Stunning Luang Prabang Estate

I grew up on the Mississippi River , in Rock Island, Ill. I knew of the river's moods and might but always took it for granted. And yet I'd long wondered what it would be like to travel the Mississippi from source to sea — in a canoe.
